Our ABS-Lock SYS II and ABS-Lock SYS IV lifeline systems offer you the perfect solution, if you are planning to set up an uninterrupted fall arrest system to secure several individuals working on a facade or wall. These fully-traversable systems can be easily led around corners and obstacles: The users simply connect up to the system using suitable personal fall arrest equipment (PPE) and can then move along the the entire stretch without interruption - the length of which knows no limits.
Our traversable lifeline systems are based on a stainless steel cable which runs along the whole length of the danger zone. The users connect up using suitable cable gliders. These gliders are equipped with an anchorage eyelet to which the users can hook up their lanyards (hoisting ropes). When moving along to their workplaces - or covering longer stretches (e.g. when cleaning windows or working on industrial crane ways), the gliders simply follow the users along - running smoothly over all the intermediate posts. It is no longer necessary to switch over the glider from one anchor to another.
The real highlight of both of our ABS-Lock SYS - Facades / Walls lifeline systems is our smooth-running ABS SkyRoll roller glider: Not only does it run smoothly over an intermediate bracket, it also just glides around the corners. This lightweight aluminium glider is equipped with high-quality stainless steel rollers that are designed to glide smoothly along both our 8 mm stainless steel ABS-Lock SYS II cable and our 6 mm stainless steel ABS-Lock IV cable systems. Whichever cable thickness you go for, both solutions offer a reliable fall arrest solution for up to 4 individuals and are made of an extremely robust and durable V4A stainless steel material.
Our ABS Compact Force model also ensures your cable is optimally pretensioned whatever the season. This clever tensioning element is not only pre-assembled prior to delivery for easy installation but also includes a spring-biased device with an easily-readable gauge. It compensates changes in temperature to reduce cable sag - in summer and winter alike.
All our ABS-Lock SYS lifeline systems have been awarded national technical approval ("abZ") by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) and bear a label containing the prescribed Ü symbol. This approval not only applies to the system components themselves but also to our detachable cable glider, the ABS SkyRoll. The abZ includes full details on the various installation types and subsurfaces approved by the DIBt (concrete, steel, single anchorage points with an abZ and/or ETA certificate). In addition, our ABS Safety lifeline systems have all been tested in accordance with EN 795, type C.
