If you decide on an ABS Safety overhead-mounted lifeline system, you are putting your trust in a system that offers you the ultimate in fall protection. The fact that the anchor in this type of installation is installed overhead, greatly reduces the risk of a swing fall. In addition, the connector between the user and the fall arrest system is kept relatively short so that it comes into play much more quickly, if the user falls - thus reducing the fall distance and the risk of sustaining injury through hitting the ground. An ABS-Lock SYS - overhead system can secure up to 4 individuals simultaneously and fits in well with your building structure.
Our fully traversable ABS-Lock SYS II and ABS-Lock SYS IV lifeline systems combine ease of usage with the highest product quality: Our lifeline systems are manufactured almost completely from extremely robust 316 steel material. This not only makes them exceptionally durable but also means that they are suitable for permanent implementation in aggressive conditions. Our ABS-Lock SYS anchorage systems are used outside, e.g. on roofs, facades and directly under hall roofs. They are installed in a wide range of industrial surroundings as the durability of these stainless steel securing systems makes them suitable for a multitude of applications, for example in the chemicals industry and incineration plants.
Our ABS-Lock SYS II system is based on a 8 mm stainless steel cable. When installed overhead, this strong cable solution is particularly suitable for usage in coimbination with a self-retracting lifeline (SRL), for example with one of our ABS B-Lock models. Even when a SRL is hung permanently on the cable, the strength of the stainless steel cable means that it hardly sags - so that it remains fully traversable at all times. We recommend using a permanently-installed ABS UniGlide PRO roller glider, particularly at heights that are difficult to reach. This high-quality cable glider is also made of V4A steel material.
Our ABS-Lock SYS IV system, with its 6 mm stainless steel cable, offers a lighter-weight solution to other lifeline systems. This thinner cable is also fully traversable and can be run easily around corners and obstacles. As the worker moves on, the cable glider simply follows along and glides smoothly over the intermediate supports and corner elements. All you need is one of our particularly easy-to-install and plan ABS TI-FlexCurve gliders which can simply be bent by hand to the required angle (up to 180°). Whether you need to tackle a corner, pillar, difference in height or particularly narrow access route, our ABS-Lock SYS IV system allows you to set up a reliable fall arrest sollution in virtual any surroundings. Two different gliders can be used with the system. Choose between our lightweight, standard aluminium ABS ProSlide model or our particularly user-friendly ABS SkyRoll glider with smooth-running stainless steel rollers.
All our ABS-Lock SYS lifeline systems have been awarded national technical approval ("abZ") by the German Institute for Contruction Technology (DIBt) and bear a label with the prescribed Ü symbol. The abZ contains full details on the numerous installation types and surfaces approved by the DIBt (concrete, steel, single anchorage points with an abZ and/or ETA certificate). As the system can be installed with virtually any of our approved anchorage points, you have a broad range of anchors and surfaces to choose from. Naturally, our ABS Safety lifeline systems have also been tested in accordance with EN 795, type C.
