Detachable aluminium glider for traversable lifeline systems

To be able to use a fully traversable lifeline system properly, you need a cable glider capable of running smoothly over the intermediate and corner elements. Our ABS ProSlide cable glider is made of high-strength aluminium material and can be used in combination with any of our ABS-Lock SYS lifeline systems. It is suitable for both 6 mm and 8 mm stainless steel cables and should never be missing in your personal fall protection kit (PPE).

This detachable cable glider locks automatically and is designed to protect 1 individual against falls in accordance with EN 795:2012, type C. It is opened up simply by pressing the red release button. Special feature: Our ABS ProSlide is equipped with an especially large anchorage eyelet which allows a broad range of different carabiner and pipe hooks to be hooked up to it. The glider also bears a label containing all the required manufacturer details, information on the standard used to test the device and the maximum number of users. In addition, every single product bears its own individual serial number.

Of course, you can also use this glider with non-traversable ABS Safety lifeline systems. However, if you choose to do this, you will have to unhook the glider and hook it back up again - and may possibly have to use a second glider to ensure that you are secured at all times.

For systems installed overhead, we strongly recommend our ABS SkyRoll roller glider. This aluminium glider is equipped with stainless steel ball bearings which guarantee that it runs extremely smoothly. It can go around corner elements up to 180° and can also be used in combination with a 6 mm or a 8 mm lifeline cable.
