Crossover platforms can be used to get over obstacles, such as a fire barriers, cable ducts and pipes, installed on a roof surface.
A crossover platform used to get over an obstacle on a flat or slightly sloping roof is basically a stepladder combined with a platform. Accordingly, these platforms are manufactured in line with the standards that apply to stepladders and are generally put together from system components. If a crossover platform has side protection on both sides, consisting of hand and knee rails, and is also equipped with toe boards, it can be positioned anywhere on the roof surface - irrespective of any walls rising up from this surface. This allows the user to get over the obstacle easily and safely. Tools and materials can also be taken along at the same time.
