Using a traversable ABS-Lock SYS II or ABS-Lock SYS IV lifeline system guarantees that your workers in a fall danger zone are secured over longer stretches - without interruption and without being impeded in their work. When special gliders that simply glide right over the intermediate supports and corner elements are used with these anchorage systems, it is no longer necessary to unhook/rehook your carabiner. This allows up to 4 workers working high up to continue with their work safely and without being restricted in any way - on a roof (pitched or flat), crane way or traverse in an event hall: The range of possible applications is endless.
ABS Safety's lifeline systems are manufactured from high-quality V4A stainless steel and are available in 2 cable thicknesses: Our ABS-Lock SYS II system is based on a strong stainless steel cable with a diameter of 8 mm; The cable of our lighter ABS-Lock SYS IV system is 6 mm in diameter. These systems can be run along the edge of a fall danger zone in virtually any desired length - and can be easily led around corners or obstacles using specially-designed curve elements. The main highlight of our traversable anchorage systems is our easy-to-use ABS TI-FlexCurve device. This simple, stainless steel curve element is simply bent by hand to the required angle (max. 90°; Rope run up to max. 120°) - and because this component can also be twisted and aligned as required, it can easily cope with corners and compensate for differences in height.
If you want to use a cable glider with these systems, you can choose between our lightweight, standard aluminium glider, our ABS ProSlide, and our deluxe model, ABS SkyRoll, which is equipped with smooth-running stainless steel rollers. The user can connect up to the respective glider using an ABS Lanyard which links up the anchorage device to the safety harness worn by the worker. Once safely connected, your workers can move around without interruption - the cable glider simply follows them as they move along the whole length of your traversable lifeline system. If the user falls, his fall is safely arrested. Of course, our portfolio also includes all the components you require to put together your personal fall protection kit (PPE).
All ABS Safety lifeline systems have been awarded national technical approval ("abZ") by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) and are suitable for numerous different surfaces. These certifications not only apply to the components of our permanently-installed lifeline systems but also to our ABS ProSlide and ABS SkyRoll gliders. The respective products are labelled with the required Ü symbol. The abZ contains all the information on the different models and surfaces approved by the DIBt (concrete, steel, single anchorage points with an abZ and/or ETA certification). Naturally, these systems have also been tested in accordance with EN 795, type C.
A lifeline system offers the most efficient protection when it is carefully planned and integrated into the surrounding architecture. Simply contact our Team that would be happy to help you with the design and realisation of your own individual anchorage solution.
